Lilypie Countdown to Adoption tickers

Our Family Before

We are a close-knit family of four.  Cliff and I have been married since April of 1990. Together we are raising two lovely ladies born to us in the last 12 years.  These are the children that God has graciously entrusted to our care.  And now we are trusting Him to grow our family through international adoption from Ukraine.

The Cast of Characters:

Cliff is an executive with a non-profit scientific society.  He spends a lot of time on the road both domestically and internationally.  We're hoping his frequent flyer miles and hotel points will come in handy during the adoption process.

When not on the road, Cliff spends most of his time with US!    He is active in the men's ministry at our church, enjoys UT Longhorn football and basketball, and is an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

I am a stay-at-home mom fully immersed in homeschooling our two lovelies.  I enjoy our days of learning and experiencing life together.  Field trips and nap time are my favorites.

While homeschooling does not allow an abundance of free time, I also enjoy reading on my Kindle, cooking, photography, various creative art endeavors, and a few TV shows.

Emma is our oldest.  She is tall and beautiful.  And her dream is the reason we are on this journey.  School-wise, Emma has grown dramatically over the last few years.  Her favorite subject is Math, and Reading is fast becoming a new source of pride.

When not studying, Emma enjoys family time most of all.  She also takes ballet and loves riding horses for occupational therapy.  Her newest interest is Harry Potter, as she has read the first three books of the series and is ready to start the fourth.

Vivian is excited about becoming a big sister.  As her name indicates, she is lively.  She is also very intelligent and quite a challenge to keep busy.  Vivian's favorite school subject is History followed closely by Science, but only when the experiments work!

Outside of schoolwork, Vivian enjoys sports (soccer, softball and taekwon do), dance (ballet and tap), church activities, and music (first violin and now piano).
